NUJ members at Express Newspapers in London and Preston are getting ready for a second 24-hour strike on Friday. Journalists at the company’s papers are angry that management is trying to force through a below inflation pay offer, without any meaningful negotiations with the union.

Last Friday, dozens of people joined picket lines outside the papers’ London office and Broughton site. You can read about the action here.

Members on the first strike were heartened to receive lots of messages of support from colleagues in the industry. You can help by sending a message backing Express and Star journalists to campaigns@nuj.org.uk.
